Orlando Pirates have confirmed as many as eight of their players will be sidelined for their CAF Champions League first preliminary round second leg.
The Buccaneers welcome semi-professional side La Cure Waves after drawing the first leg 0-0.
While Abdeslam Ouaddou admitted to giving some fringe players a chance to play in the first leg, he has selected a strong line-up for the second leg.
However, several players are out sidelined, due to injuries and suspension the club confirmed.
“Andre De Jong, Thalente Mbatha, Evidence Makgopa, Gampani Lungu and Sihle Nduli remain sidelined as they recover from their respective injuries,” the club stated.
“Tshepang Moremi will serve the second and final match of his suspension. He will be available for selection in the next round, should the Buccaneers progress.”
Meanwhile, other players such as new Norwegian striker were not registered for the initial stages of the CAFCL.
“The trio of Sifiso Luthuli, Mpho Padime and Sebastian Pedersen are also unavailable, due to not being registered. They will be registered when the next registration window opens,” the club added.
