Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has revealed that new signing Mohau Nkota could be sidelined for another three to four weeks as he recovers from an injury.
Nkota has returned to the Buccaneers on loan from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, having initially left Pirates during the January transfer window.
However, the 20-year-old has yet to make his second debut for the club, with Ouaddou confirming that he remains under the care of the medical team.
“Nkota is still with the doctors, making treatment. I think he had an injury with his previous club, but I hope to have him in three or four weeks,” Ouaddou said.
Pirates will therefore have to wait before Nkota can be considered for selection, with the winger expected to provide another attacking option once he returns to full fitness.
A graduate of their DStv Diski Challenge squad, Nkota scored seven goals, with five assists in 39 games for the Buccaneers before his lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia.
