Mamelodi Sundowns and Williete S.C. played to a goalless stalemate in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg at Estadio Nacionale da Tundavala in Lubango on Sunday evening.
Prior to kick-off, Sundowns announced that both Ronwen Williams and Aubrey Modiba were sidelined with not-so-serious injuries and would be expected back soon. They were replaced by Ricardo Goss in goals and Khulumani Ndamane at left-back.

Brayan León had a glorious chance just five minutes in to put the visitors in the lead after getting in behind the defence and went for goal, only for his effort to be cleared off the line.
Another chance for the visitors came in the 25th minute as Tashreeq Matthews cut in from the right and fired at goal. His effort was however tame and easily stopped.
Sundowns suffered an injury blow to Teboho Mokoena just before the halftime break with Bathusi Aubaas replacing him.
The home side hardly troubled Sundowns but came close in the 71st minute with Agostinho Cristóvão Paciência Mabululu’s effort from close range was pushed for a corner by Goss.
In the end, neither side could find the breakthrough with the teams sharing a point ahead of the second leg next week.
