Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has appealed to the club’s supporters to stand behind the team following their defeat to Red Arrows in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Amakhosi suffered a narrow 1-0 loss away from home in the first leg of the second preliminary round at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

With the return leg scheduled for Friday next week, Da Cruz has urged players, and staff as a whole and the club’s fans to remain united, expressing confidence that Chiefs can overturn the deficit and progress to the next round.
“We need them on Friday for the game to support us because I know that the team is able to reverse the result,” said Da Cruz.
“What is most important is that in difficult moments we must stay united, players, staff, club and supporters to get through this period and get better results.”
The French coach feels the Soweto giants must create more scoring opportunities after struggling to do so in the first leg in Zambia.
“For sure, we need to change something to create more chances. Normally, we create more chances in PSL,” he added.
“It’s the first time that we didn’t create a lot of chances, so we need to analyse and after we need to change something to be able to qualify.
