AmaZulu Star – We Take Responsibility For Franco Sacking

AmaZulu FC midfielder Rowen Human says the squad shoulder some of the responsibility after Pablo Franco Martin was sacked as head coach.

Usuthu parted ways with the Spaniard after starting the season with three consecutive defeats and he’s now been replaced by a co-coaching duo of Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi.

Human was touted as a marquee signing but failed to hit the heights expected of him since his lucrative move from Maritzburg United.

“It’s a hard question but I think where I need to improve is being consistent man, and keeping consistency, whether it’s training or in the game, but I feel if I get that I can compete at a [high] level, it’s what I need to work on,” he said.

“It’s a team sport, we all take responsibility for not winning, we’re the ones on the field, but it’s football, things never went our way in the first three games. It’s not going to define out season, it’s just a moment of picking ourselves up and moving forward, doing our best, the season is still long.”

Usuthu will be aiming to kickstart their season when they face off against Stellenbosch in the round of 16 of the Carling Knockout.
