Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi says there’s more to come from teenager Kutlwano Letlhaku after he scored his first professional goal.
The 18-year-old winger found the net in Sundowns’ 5-0 thumping of Golden Arrows this weekend, further enhancing his reputation as one of the most promising attacking talents in the country.
Having joined Sundowns last season from the School of Excellence, he continued his meteoric rise in their DStv Diski Challenge where he starred before his promotion to the first team during the pre-season that passed as they went to Austria.
He’s earned rave reviews from the technical team since and he’s now featured five times, with the last game being his memorable first goal.
“Kutlwano is one for the future, I believe he has a lot to offer, he hasn’t done what I think he is capable of, and for him to start scoring in official matches, because he scored some very good goals during pre-season,” he said.
“Unfortunately, in official matches, he’s not really been as brave to take these opportunities because he has a brilliant left foot, and we still expect a lot from him. Very good player one v one, very good player in cutting into the box.

“But there’s still a lot more I can expect from him, and I was also very excited to see even the other teammates do feel that maybe giving him a little bit of a boost is going to take him to the next level, he will be very important for the team going forward.”
