Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has given an update on Gaston Sirino after he picked up a muscle injury against former club Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sirino, 33, has become an instant hit since joining the Soweto giants on a free transfer after his departure from Chloorkop.
The Uruguayan has collected two assists and one goal in his first three games under Nasreddine Nabi, becoming an instant fan favourite for the Amakhosi faithful.
However, he had picked up an injury against Downs, which saw him sidelined during the international break, but Nabi confirmed they are hoping to have him ready for the Carling Knockout clash with SuperSport United.
“You will notice that we felt the absence of Sirino in our last game against Marumo. It shows the importance of that player inside the team,” Nabi said.

“Maybe he is not fully recovered but we will try and count on him in the next game, maybe not the 90 minutes, but we will try and recover him for the game.”
Chiefs face SuperSport away from home in the Last 16 of the Carling Knockout at 20:00 on Saturday.
