Cape Town Spurs have announced the signing of former AmaZulu midfielder Sphesihle Maduna.
iDiski Times had previously reported that Maduna was on the verge of signing, and Spurs have now confirmed the signing of the former Usuthu player.
Maduna was promoted in 2018 from Usuthu’s DStv Diski Challenge team and was a regular for a few seasons, making 87 appearances in all competitions, but he has not played this campaign.
He was was at one stage linked with moves to Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows, but they never materialised as he remained at Usuthu.
Spurs also recently announced the promotion of Reece Braithwaite, Siviwe Nkwali and Obakhe Tshaya to Ernst Middendorp’s first team.
