Mamelodi Sundowns have secured the signing of defender Zuko Mdunyelwa from Chippa United.
Mdunyelwa, 24, has been one of the most consistent defenders in the league since joining the Chilli Boys and has racked up 58 appearances after joining from Cape Town City.
The right-back was strongly linked with a move to Stellenbosch last season and was said to have agreed a pre-contract with the club.
However, Chippa managed to keep hold of the talent with a new contract, but have not been able to keep hold of him for much longer as Sundowns came knocking.
“The 24-year-old defender joins The Yellow Nation as the first mid-season addition of the window after undergoing medicals and agreeing contact terms,” the statement read.
Mdunyelwa will compete for a spot in the first team with Khuliso Mudau, Tapelo Morena, and Grant Kekana in the second half of the season.
