Cape Town Spurs teenager forward Luke Baartman admits he’s been inspired by the recent transfer interest in his services.
Baartman, 18, has long been tipped as a future prospect for the national team during his time at iKamva and made his professional breakthrough last season.

While Spurs were relegated, Baartman was one of several shining lights of the campaign, scoring twice in his 10 appearances.
He’s now broken into the U20 national team after featuring at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria last year.
Stellenbosch FC are among the teams credited with interest in his services while there has also been murmurs of overseas suitors of late.
“It inspires me to do better, work harder and wait for the right opportunity to come and we’ll see [what happens],” Baartman told iDiski Times.
“I won’t say the attention has affected me. I was very small [in the development] so everyone knew me, so I kept on working hard to push myself [to this level]. Although I was small, I kept working hard.
“You can’t [allow] your head to get big, because many players when they get the chance in the PSL, or go bigger, their heads swell and after a few months they are done.”
Baartman featured in both games against Lesotho as Raymond Mdaka’s side won 3-1 and 4-0 in their preparation friendlies for the upcoming Cosafa Cup.
