While there are no PSL fixtures in the Cape this weekend, there will be plenty of football action with the Bayhill Premier Cup kicking off on Wednesday.
Some of the best young talent in the country will be on display at the annual U19 tournament at Erica Park in Belhar from Wednesday to Sunday, before Monday’s ‘Day of Finals’ at the Athlone Stadium.

On Wednesday, the group stages kick off as 32 teams battle it out at the country’s longest-running youth competition.
Headlining the tournament will be U19 teams from several PSL outfits, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Stellenbosch FC, Cape Town City and AmaZulu.
The University of Pretoria and defending champions Cape Town Spurs will also be participating, as will three teams from outside South Africa – Medeama Football Club from Ghana, and two Namibian sides, Riverheights Football Academy and CBS Talents.
But watch out for some of the Western Cape clubs and academies, too, who have gone through a gruelling qualification process that began last year.
