Cardoso Praises Chiefs & Nabi

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso believes Kaizer Chiefs are a well coached team under Nasreddine Nabi and will be a tough opponent in the Nedbank Cup semi-final.

Sundowns will face Chiefs for the fourth time this season and so far Masandawana have won all three games, twice in the Betway Premiership and once in the Carling Knockout Cup.

Cardoso was in charge of the recent 1-0 win in the Betway Premiership at Lucas Moripe Stadium and he believes that Amakhosi gave them hard time in that game and his side need to be at their best to overcome Chiefs on Sunday evening.

“Regarding the match as we approach the final of three competitions obviously, the level of the opponents and we have one of the historical and a top team in South Africa to whom we need to pay a strong attention,” Cardoso told the media.

“When we played against them in the championship it was a very difficult match and regrading the amount of games we played at the time but always a very strong team, a well coached by coach Nabi and need to take ourselves limits if we want to win the match and go to final of this competition because as I said from the beginning its our objective to arrive at the decisive moment.

“So we need to push Mamelodi Sundowns to the highest level, to the highest level of motivation, to the highest level to capacity to play to overcome the difficulties that we naturally will appear during the 90 minutes.”
