Botswana giants Township Rollers FC have confirmed they will face Kaizer Chiefs in a pre-season friendly later this month.
The 16-time Botswana Premier League champions finished the 2022/23 season in fourth place, with Morena Ramoreboli’s Jwaneng Galaxy winning the title.
While Chiefs are currently in Mpumalanga in a pre-season camp, they will face Township Rollers in Botswana on 29 July.
“Save The Date – Popa vs Amakhosi,” the club stated.
“Township Rollers FC will play South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in a pre-season friendly at the National Stadium, Gaborone on Saturday, 29 July 2023.”
The news come a few days after a delegation from Rollers visited Naturena, when both clubs stated they wanted to strengthen their relationship.
