Kaizer Chiefs DDC returned to the top of the table. Orlando Pirates suffered a heavy defeat against Bernard Parker’s TS Galaxy, Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC returned to winning ways.
Pirates two-match winning run came to an end this past weekend after suffering a heavy 3-0 defeat against Bernard Parker’s TS Galaxy. The Rockets ended their three-match draw streak.
On Sunday, Stellenbosch hammered Chippa United 4-1 at Idas Valley Sports Ground. They registered their third win of the season and moved to third place level on points with table toppers Cape Town City. Former Cape Town Spurs winger Faiz Abrahams scored a hat-trick.
Up in the capital city, Mamelodi Sundowns bounced back to winning ways after they came from a goal down to defeat Polokwane City by 3-1. Masandawana moved to fourth place with nine points in the bag.
Chiefs narrowly beat Magesi FC by a solitary goal handing them their first defeat of the season. Amakhosi scored deep in the second half and returned to the top of the table.
A total of 26 goals were scored this weekend in the DStv Diski Challenge across the seven matches that were played.
