Ex-Chiefs Striker Reaches Double Figures With Brace In Saudi

Al-Adalah forward Ranga Chivaviro netted a brace as they rallied from a goal down to shock Al Jabalin 2-1 in the Saudi First Division on Monday.

It was the former Kaizer Chiefs striker’s 12th league goal of the season with a single assist in 25 appearances this campaign.

Chivaviro, 33, completed a move to the Saudi Arabian outfit on a free transfer in September 2025 and has now even surpassed his goal tally during his two-season spell at Amakhosi where he had scored just nine goals with an assist in 45 outings.

His two strikes made it three goals in two back-to-back matches for the South African-born striker which moved them six points clear of the First Division relegation zone with three matches left to play.

On Monday, Adalah fell behind to João Novais’ 30th minute strike as the sides went into the half-time break with the hosts holding the one goal lead advantage.

The second period belonged to the visitors as Chivaviro came up clutch for Al Adalah in the 48th minute to bring his side back into the game.

In the 60th minute, Chivaviro bagged his second of the evening as he capitalised on a clearance error from the opposition goalkeeper, outpacing the defender before slotting into an open net for the all-important three points against the sixth-placed Jabalin.

His heroics not only earned him the two goals and his side maximum points, but he also received the highest rating (7.7) in his team alongside teammate and goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Dawsari.

Al Adalah are in 15th place in the 18-team league and take on Al Anwar, who are in 11th spot, next at home on Saturday, 2 May.
