Former AmaZulu Boss Martin Joins New Club

Former AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin has landed a new club after leaving Saudi club Al-Faisaly at the end of the season.

The Spaniard was linked with a return back to the South African top-flight with Orlando Pirates in recent weeks but has now joined Botola Pro League side Maghreb Fes on a one-year deal with an option to extend.

It’s been a long-awaited move for the Spaniard whose previous stints in Africa come with Usuthu and Simba SC in Tanzania, having been linked on several occasions to clubs in Morocco, including Wydad Athletic Club.

The 45-year-old also worked in his home country Spain, as head coach of Getafe and an assistant coach role with Real Madrid during Julen Lopetegui’s stint at Los Blancos.
