Hunt On Dolly As Ex-Chiefs Star Spotted At SuperSport

SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt was non-commital on the future of Keagan Dolly who has been training with the club for the last couple of weeks.

Dolly had agreed to join SuperSport, with personal terms sealed and his medical passed but the deal was called off with Vincent Pule signed instead.

Hunt and club CEO Stan Matthews said it was purely due to their budget constraints but Dolly has since resurfaced at the club, as previously reported by iDiski Times to keep fit.

“Dolly is not a winger anymore, I don’t think he can play wing anymore, but I mean he is training here and let’s see,” he said about the former Kaizer Chiefs star.

When pressed on why he’s been fielding a narrow 4-3-3 system without wingers, as Terrence Dzvukamanja, Vincent Pule and Tashreeq Morris up to he stated he has no other options at present.

“We have nobody else [that’s why we playing a narrow 4-3-3], I love width, I love wingers, I can tell you I went to a club that had no wingers, I couldn’t believe it,” he said.

“We lost all our wingers, Jones [Lungu] has been our best one of the right side and has been a striker converted, I brought in Vincent, not to be a winger really but he’s had to play there. We lost Maseko, Shandre Campbell which were big blows as wingers.

“They are my type of players, I know they can be effective, but yeah, I don’t have it, so need to make a plan. Our next ones are too far away, from our Diski team, they are very good but they are too far away right now.”
