Kobola – You’d Rather Lose It Fighting Than Just Losing It Not Doing Anything

Baroka interim coach Vincent Kobola was proud of his team after their 3-1 victory over SuperSport United.

Baroka remain bottom of the table, but have now pulled level on points with 15th placed Swallows, and are two points behind TS Galaxy, who are 14th.

Kobola said he was proud of the win and his teams’ fighting spirit. He said he had spoken to the team before the game, and he said they had responded well to his pleas.

“Actually I’m excited. I’m very proud of the players, they really put in the work,” Kobola said after the game.

“For us you can always say it’s game on, because it was ten games, two games five games now it’s two games, now it’s one game.

“So we’re going to the Maritzburg game, it’s a must-win again, I told you guys that we gonna play all cup finals.

“Ja, obviously I had one-on-ones with the players, to tell them to remind them that guys, your family depends on this.

“So you can’t let it slip. You’d rather lose it fighting than just losing it not doing anything.

“And they’re responding well. I didn’t change much. I just had to motivate them.

“I just had to show them videos where they’re celebrating, where they’re having fun, to show them that, no, you can do this.”
