AmaZulu have invited former France youth international Michel Espinosa for an assessment as they look to bolster their squad for new head coach Pablo Franco Martin.
The 29-year-old midfielder was spotted at the club this week, as Usuthu faced off in a pre-season friendly against domestic rivals Richards Bay.
According to sources within the club, the towering midfielder, who is currently a free agent after leaving Belgian side Virton – owned by Les Blues star N’Golo Kante – impressed during his cameo appearance against the Natal Rich Boyz.
Espinosa, who French side Toulouse developed, before stints with Clermont and Laval, also featured with Romanian giants Dinamo București in a nomadic career.
Standing at 1.90m tall, it could be a real find for Usuthu, in the form of the Yaoundé-born midfielder as they seek to find a new midfield partner for George Maluleka.
