Orlando Pirates have reached a club to club agreement with Siwelele for the services of exciting left-wing back Neo Rapoo ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Rapoo, 20, has emerged as one of the finest young talents in South African football and was part of the U20 South Africa national team that won the Africa Cup of Nations – as the captain of the side.

They went on to feature at the U20 FIFA World Cup in Chile, with the player showing versatility, performing well in defensive and offensive roles for club and country.

Pirates have been long-term admirers of the mercurial talent, that also attracted interest from Al Ahly, Kaizer Chiefs, amongst the long list of suitors since bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old with SuperSport United.

However, Pirates have moved swiftly as they continue to persue the finest young talent in the country, with Rapoo viewed as a player who could make an immediate impact and as a long-term solution on their left flank.

iDiski Times has been informed Pirates reached an agreement with Siwelele, with the club now indicating that the deal is imminent, subject to a routine medical and players’ terms.

Pirates currently have Deon Hotto and Nkosikhona Ndaba as option in the role, but Rapoo is set to add further competition for the spot and look to break into the senior national team set-up next season.
