Shitolo On Cross Loss To Chiefs And Bafana Legend Impact

Golden Arrows defender Gladwin Shitolo believes Bradley Cross has the potential to go beyond Kaizer Chiefs and hailed the impact of Kagiso Dikgacoi at the club.

The veteran Arrows man played alongside Cross last season, who earned plaudits for his consistent displays which earned him a couple of Bafana Bafana call-ups under Hugo Broos.

Cross, who ironically failed a trial at Chiefs was then bought by the club two years since that training assessment at the club after becoming a regular in Kwa-Zulu Natal, first with Maritzburg United, and then Arrows.

“He has the qualities, he’s shown why they signed him, he’s shown last season with us that he can play for a big team, even bigger than Chiefs,” he said, when asked by iDiski Times about his quality they saw playing alongside him.

Arrows started the season strong with wins over Stellenbosch and AmaZulu but then suffered back-to-back defeats to Magesi and Sekhukhune United.

But the optimism surrounding the club has lifted with the coaching set-up with club legends Dikgacoi joining Mabhuti Khanyeza and Musa Bilankulu this season.

“KG has brought something news, he’s brought his experience from overseas you know, he’s been there, he’s played, he was a top midfielder,” Shitolo said.

“He’s brought in good experience, giving confidence to our midfielders and attacking players, so we’re getting better.”

Abafana Bestende are currently seven in the league after four games played with six points.
