Stellies Thrash Leicester City

Stellebosch won the Premier League Next Gen U23 Midlands Tournament in the United Kingdom, when they thrashed Leicester City 7-2 in the final.

Stellies had booked their place in the final after beating Nottingham Forest in the semi-final.

It was Devin Titus who opened the scoring again for Stellies, scoring in the 13th minute to make it 1-0.

Two minutes later, Titus, who scored a brace against Nottingham Forest, made it 2-0, tapping in after some excellent work from Antonio Van Wyk.

Leicester pulled one back in the 20th minute, a great long-range effort from Kian Pennant.

But it was 3-1 a minute later, Titus getting a hat-trick, as he had time and space to fire home with well-struck effort.

Amani Richards it made 3-2 in the 28th minute, as Leicester pulled another back, as the English scored again despite having few chances

But it was 4-2 again in the 34th minute, an absolute stunner from Kyle Jurgens from distance.

Jayden Adams almost made it five in the 50th minute, but his curling effort hit the upright. Ten minutes later Adams went close again, but his attempt at catching the goalkeeper out just missed, as his chip went just over.

But it was 5-2 in the 63rd minute, a great effort from Mervin Boji, racing in behind the defence, after an excellent Adams’ pass, and Boji made no mistake.

Boji added his second two minutes later to make it 6-2, with another good strike.

Oswin Andries made it 7-2 in the 78th minute with the goal of the tournament, a stunning effort from just inside his own half.
