Al Ahly head coach Jose Riveiro says the issues with star signing Trezeguet has been resolved and rated Palmeiras as one of the best teams at the FIFA Club World Cup.
With Ahly on top of Group A as all sides sit on 1 point after their goalless draw with Inter Miami and Palmeiras with FC Porto, the Egyptian giants could seal a place in the knockout stages, should they beat the Brazilian giants.

But in the wake of their showdown tomorrow at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, their opening fixture was marred by the penalty incident as new signing Trezeguet, took the ball of Wessam Abou Ali, only to see his spot-kick saved by Ossar Ustari.
This led to the former Aston Villa winger being fired, as per the code of conduct of the club – with Riveiro confirming it’s now a non-issue, days after the opener in Miami.
“The issue of Trezeguet’s missed penalty kick has been completely resolved, and I won’t speak individually about any player on the team. We must focus only on the match against Palmeiras to achieve a positive result,” he said.
“Palmeiras is one of the best teams in the Club World Cup, and they are stable with their current coach, who has played many matches with them over the past few seasons.
“They are an experienced team that has played many tough matches, and they put in a strong performance against Porto in the first round but we have a strong desire to achieve a good result.”
The two sides meet this afternoon at 18h00.
