Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly secured the CAF Super Cup title over Raja Casablanca in dramatic fashion with Percy Tau playing a crucial role.
Hamid Ahaddad’s 12th-minute strike looked to have secured the Confederation Cup champions the title but a 90th-minute equaliser took the tie to penalties.
Percy Tau set up Taher Mohamed for the late goal and scored in the shoot-out as Ahly won 6-5 after the game finished 1-1 in regulation time.
It marked their third Super Cup title for Mosimane and a record-extending eighth for the Red Devils – with whom Mosimane won the trophy last season too.
