Kaizer Chiefs star Edson Castillo has made his third successive appearance for Venezuela, coming off the bench in a 2-1 defeat to Italy.
Castillo, 29, had once again been called up by Fernando Batista, making every Venezuela squad since joining Amakhosi.
But while he didn’t he feature during his recall to the national team last year, he made two sub appearances in the November international break.
After coming off the bench after 84 minutes against Ecuador, Castillo had also featured in the 1-1 in Peru.
On Thursday night, Castillo came off the bench against Italy in the 78th minute, with the game drawn level at 1-1.
However, La Vinotinto conceded two minutes later and eventually lost the game, which was also part of the FIFA Series, 2-1.
Castillo might have another chance to add onto his hat-trick of recent appearances and feature for his home country when Venezuela face 108th-ranked Guatemala in another friendly on Monday night.
