South African Khanya Leshabela made his long-awaited English Premier League debut, when he came off the bench in Leicester City’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United on Sunday.
The South African born forward, who has featured for the national under-20 and under-23 sides, came on for the last ten minutes, with Leicester already leading by five goals, mainly thanks to a hat-trick from Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho.
The 21 year old has been on the bench four times for Leicester this season, but now he has finally made an appearance off it.
He was promoted to the first team last year after impressive performances for the Leicester Under-23 and Under-18 sides.
