Mbappe Makes Decision Over World-Record Offer

Kylian Mbappe has refused to meet with representatives of Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal, who were understood to offer him a world-record salary.

Al Hilal reportedly had a massive €300 million offer accepted by Paris Saint-Germain, who have the Saudi Pro League side permission to speak to the player.

Mbappe is currently at loggerheads with PSG after he refuses to activate an option in his contract to automatically extend it until the end of the 2024/25 season – it runs out by the end of this month.

With PSG not keen on losing their superstar for free by the end of the campaign, they have transfer-listed the France captain and also scratched him from their pre-season tour in Japan.

However, Mbappe seems ready to play hardball and has refused to meet Al Hilal officials, who were in Paris to Brazilian forward Malcom, according to ESPN and L’Equipe.

Mbappe is not interested in joining the Riyadh-based giants, who were believed to be ready to offer him a massive €700 million (R13.75 billion) for just one season in Saudi Arabia.

The 24-year-old plans to leave the club on a free transfer, with Real Madrid widely expected to snap him up after missing out on his signature last season.

ESPN report that Mbappe will be due a €80 million bonus this September should he opt to stay with PSG, while Real have offered him a massive signing on bonus in the region of €100 million.
