Pitso Mosimane has commented on rumours linking Al Ahly with a move for Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkosi Lorch.
The South African tactician lead the ‘Club of the Century’ into their 14th CAF Champions League final and could become the first SA coach to lift the trophy thrice.
However, with the transfer season around the corner, rumours stipulated in local media that Al Ahly could look to Lorch to strengthen their squad.
Mosimane now took to social media, saying he would contact Bucs chairman Irvin Khosa to get his blessings on a potential move.
Lorch, meanwhile, had a difficult 2020/21 season with Pirates after suffering from a tear in his abductor muscle.
‘Jingles’ is yet to make any official signing for Al Ahly since joining the Egyptian giants in October 2020 but the Egyptian side were attempting to lure Gaston Sirino to Cairo.
However, Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns weren’t able to agree on a fee and the Uruguayan has had to stay in South Africa.
It remains to be seen whether Mosimane will indeed lure any players from South Africa to Egypt and who will be his first official signing for the Egyptian giants.
