Simba S.C. forward Clatous “Triple C” Chama says he is still dreaming of a transfer to Kaizer Chiefs.
The 29-year-old has been one of the main performers for the Tanzanian giants in the CAF Champions League this season, scoring four goals in 11 appearances.
Chama has been linked with a move to the Premier Soccer League for a few years now and reportedly came very close to joining Amakhosi last season.
He spoke to iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu after the 4-0 first-leg defeat of his side, saying he is still dreaming of a move to the Glamour Boys.
“Not at all. It’s still there. It’s quite alive and it’s still fresh. I I hope for it surely comes through,” he said.
“Yeah, I’m looking forward to that. I mean, the PSL is quite good. I normally pay attention to most of the players that are here and so much. I have so many friends here. We’re from Zambia. So I normally follow it up.
“Well, I think for me in my career, I believe everything happens by the glory and the grace of God. So that should be there first, then the second, it’s not going to be easy, knowing that I still have a
contract, and I’m still working for my contract.
“So everything has to be done, obviously, professionally. And if that is achievable, it might come through. But if not, then we have to wait until God’s time surely comes through.”
Chama also spoke about his side’s mistakes in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarter-final against Chiefs and what they must do better to stand a chance in the second leg. You can read the complete story in this week’s iDiski Times – available in Zulu and English.
