Downs & Al Ahly Line-Ups Announced

Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly have announced their line-ups ahead of the second leg of their CAF Champions League quarter-final.

Masandawana host the defending champions at the Lucas Moripe Stadium at 15:00 (SA time) and will have to overcome a 2-0 first-leg defeat.

Downs enter the game, having not won any of their last six knockout games in the competition.

They will, of course, face a familiar face in opposition coach Pitso Mosimane, who returns to Lucas Moripe Stadium for a first time since joining the Egyptian giants in October 2019.

Downs have just won one of their seven CAF Champions League games against Al Ahly (D2, L4), the 5-0 quarter-final victory at home in 2018/19.

Al Ahly, meanwhile, have lost just once in their last 17 CAF Champions League games (W11, D5), losing to Simba – who face Kaizer Chiefs in the quarter-final today – during the group stage.

Here is how they line up:

Sundowns: Onyango, Nascimento, Lebusa, Coetzee, Morena, Modiba, Jali, Mkhulise, Zwane, Sirino, Shalulile

Al Ahly: El Shenawy, Badr Banoun, Yasser Ibrahim, Rami Rabia, Mohammed Hany, Ayman Ashraf, El Soleya, Aliou Dieng, Afsha, Salah Mohsen, Mohamed Sherif
