Former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Percy Tau has named Kaizer Chiefs shotstopper Itumeleng Khune as one of the three best goalkeepers he has faced.
The 26-year-old took part in a Twitter Q&A with PUMA South Africa recently, speaking about a wide range of topics.
He confirmed that he is keen on staying with Brighton & Hove Albion despite his limited game-time since he has rejoined the Seagulls in January.
One of the users asked Tau to name the three best goalkeepers he has come up against in the various leagues he has played in.
“Dennis Onyango, Itumeleng Khune and Ronwen Williams,” was his response.
Tau’s response surprised some after he has also come up against a few other names throughout his time in Europe.
During his stint with Club Brugge, for example, the Bafana forward played against the likes of Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid and Keylor Navas of Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile on his Premier League debut against Manchester City, Ederson Moraes was between the sticks for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Tau, though, decided to keep it local, which should be a confidence boost for his two South Africa teammates, Williams and Khune, as well as his former Masandawana colleague Onyango.
