Randburg AFC’s U15 team are safely in Holland as they are preparing to take part in the Orange Veins tournament in Rotterdam this week.
The South African teenagers will join some of Europe’s big clubs at the tournament and are in a group with PSV Eindhoven, FC Copenhagen and FK Bodo/Glimt.
Other major clubs competing in the competition include PSG, West Ham, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge.
The youngsters will settle in this week, and play a few friendlies before the competition kicks off in earnest on the 9th of April.
Amongst the technical team travelling with the Randburg side is former professional star Shuaib Walters, who is head of goalkeeping at the club.
Since hanging up his boots, Walters has turned to coaching and was recently part of the national U20 technical team at the Cosafa U20 Championship.
