Zongo’s Club Clears The Air On Latest Specualtion

Masibusane ‘Zizo’ Zongo was reported to have gone AWOL after he didn’t travel with Western Cape ABC Motsepe League side Oriented Birds to Cape Town, but his club have now dismissed those claims.

The former SuperSport United dribbling wizard was announced as new signing by the Plettenberg Bay side in August.

The fan favorite was noticed to be absent by football supporters during their first ABC Motsepe League fixture against Hout Bay United.

But reliable sources informed this publication that Zongo didn’t travel with the club to Cape Town for the clash against Hout Bay and he won’t be available for the City Kings clash as well.

The former Platinum Stars player has a history of going AWOL in previous clubs, with his latest absence sending fans into a frenzy as to whether the same has happened again.

But when iDiski Times contacted the club regarding the matter, and it was explained that he went to attend family emergency.

“Zizou is still our player, there’s no such that he went AWOL,” Oriented Birds told iDiski Times.

“He went to attend family emergency and the club gave him permission to go home.”
