Official: Notoane Announces Final Olympics Squad

David Notoane has officially announced the South African Olympics squad, which includes two overaged players.

Preparations for the Tokyo Olympics haven’t been great after two camps had to be cancelled.

In addition, SA’s U23 lost twice to Egypt without scoring and were unable to set up another friendly match so far.

Today, however, Notoane announce his squad, including overaged stars Ronwen Williams, and Abbubaker Mobara.

Goalkeepers: Mondli Mpoto, Ronwen Williams, Sifiso Mlungwana

Defenders: Tercious Malepe, Katlego Mohamme, Luke Fleurs, Thabiso Monyane, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Abbubaker Mobara

Midfielders: Teboho Mokoena, Goodman Mosele, Sipho Mbule, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Thabo Cele

Strikers: Fagrie Lakay, Evidence Makgopa, Lyle Foster, Kobamelo Kodisang, Luther Singh

South Africa will open the tournament against hosts Japan, while also facing France and Mexico in a really tough group.
