AmaZulu Head Coach Benni McCarthy, who has been linked with the Bafana Bafana job, has revealed his ambitions about coaching in England.
The 43-year-old is experiencing a brilliant start to his second stint in the PSL, leading AmaZulu into second place on the log after winning 10 of their last 11 league games.
As a consequence, it doesn’t surprise that the former Orlando Pirates forward is linked to the vacant Bafana job following Molefi Ntseki’s dismissal last week.
After revealing that he would consider taking over the national team, McCarthy also spoke about his ambitions to coach in the Premier League.
“My main priority is that I want to get back to England – I want to manage in the Premier League one day or I want to manage a Championship club,” he told BBC Sport.
“After playing there I have had that taste of what the best league in the world is about and what is required of you so that is mouth-watering and that is my biggest desire.”
