Gallants Transfer News: 6 In, 5 Out!

Marumo Gallants (former TTM) have confirmed six new signings for the first team, while five players have left the club ahead of the 2021/2022 DStv Premiership season.

The reigning Nedbank Cup champions have been re-branded, and will also be without a few familiar faces.

Thabo Rakhale has already been unveiled by Sekhukhune United already, but the club only confirmed the former Orlando Pirates’ player’s exit today. Rakhale featured in 23 league games, scoring three goals.

Gallants also announced two other former Buccaneer players’ exits, with Tokelo Rantie and Diamond Thopola also leaving the club. Rantie featured in just six league games, while Thopola featured in seven.

Botswana international Mogakolodi Ngele has also been released, while Mamelodi Sundowns’ full back Nicholas Lukhubeni has returned to his mother club after his loan spell ended.

Ngele played 10 DStv Premiership games, while Lukhubeni was the most active, playing in 24 matches.

Minutes later, Gallants have also confirmed their new first team signings, including two former Mamelodi Sundowns players.

Former Platinum Stars and Sundowns winger Katlego Otladisa, former Moroka Swallows and Sundowns midfielder Sibusiso Khumalo, Matome Kgoetyane (Baroka), Sibusiso Nkosi (Tuks) and Thato Khiba (African All Stars) were all signed by the club.

Meanwhile Brendon Mokgope has been promoted from development.
