Bafana Announce Starting XI For Eswatini
Bafana Bafana have announced their starting line-up for the second Cosafa Cup clash.
South Africa will face Eswatini at 15:00 today, three days after starting the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Botswana.
Eswatini, meanwhile, also kicked their Cosafa Cup of with a win, beating Lesotho 3-1.
Bafana are still unbeaten against Eswatini, winning three of their four games. The last times the two sides met was in 2016 when South Africa hammered Eswatini 5-1.
South Africa will be without coach Helman Mkhalele, who was forced into self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 on Monday.
Team doctor Tshepo Molobi confirmed that Mkhalele and goalkeeper coach Lucky Shiburi will have to self-isolate until next week Thursday, meaning they will also miss the other two group stage matches against Lesotho and Zambia.
In the interim, assistant manager Morena Ramoreboli will be on the sidelines, while Bafana’s head coach Hugo Broos will only return to South Africa for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
