An uplifted Gavin Hunt commented on the #KaizerChiefsProtest, which happened just one day ahead of his side’s 4-0 thrashing of Simba SC.
The Amakhosi coach continued his fine run in this year’s CAF Champions League, beating Tanzanian giants 4-0 on Saturday.
After the match, Hunt was asked about the protest of Chiefs fans on Friday, when more than a 100 supporters marched to Naturena to hand over a 12-point Memorandum.
“Maybe that helped us win hey; maybe we need more marches hey,” he said with a smirk.
“Listen, you’ve got to respect the supporters, they’re obviously feeling the pain and we all do, and they’re only voicing their grievances.
“And I think it’s important the way it was done, it was handled very well and I think it’s also important that a win like tonight will soften it a little bit.
“But it’s not about tonight, it’s about the next game, and that’s what football is about.”
Following Chiefs 4-0 victory, they remained unbeaten at home in the Champions League and are also yet to concede a goal at the FNB Stadium in this year’s competition.
Hunt’s men have seemingly more than one foot in the semi-final but still need to travel to Tanzania for the second leg next week Saturday.
