Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt revealed before their mid-week game that Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic has been fit for some time.
Chiefs’ leading goalscorer from last season has been missing through injury this term and is yet to feature for the Amakhosi in 2020/21.
The club had reported that Nurkovic had resumed training this week, but before Chiefs game against Black Leopards, Hunt revealed that Nurkovic has actually been fit for two weeks.
While not elaborating, Hunt said there were other issues that had kept him from fielding Nurkovic.
“Nurkovic has been fit for about two weeks now, but obviously there are other problems,” Hunt was quoted saying to SuperSport before the game.
“Those problems must be sorted out first. I mean he could play, but let’s leave it for another day.”
Chiefs fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Leopards.
