Hunt – We Could’ve Scored 7 Or 8

Gavin Hunt has come out to defend his team after his side’s 4-0 thrashing by his former side Kaizer Chiefs.

The 57-year-old saw his side concede four times without reply in an unpleasant homecoming to FNB Stadium.

However, after the match, Hunt insisted that the scoreline wasn’t a true reflection of both side’s performances.

“If you look at the game and you understand football, how many opportunities did we have tonight? My goodness,” he told SuperSport TV after the match.

“It could’ve been seven or eight to us, before they scored we could’ve scored twice. We had so many chances in and around the box there.

“And they obviously played it (well), I mean the first goal is a defensive problem for us. We got what we got and got to try and improve them, obviously bring them up to a higher level, because we’re getting exposed here.

“Those are the daily things we’re working on, but we’ve had so many individual errors. I mean even the third goal.

“It’s disappointing but we’ve had so many chances tonight, if you’re honest and you understand football.”
