Khune & Billiat In Chiefs XI For Carling Black Label Cup

Itumeleng Khune and Khama Billiat, as well as the injured Dumsani Zuma, are currently in Kaizer Chiefs’ starting XI for the Carling Black Label Cup.

The first Soweto Derby of the new 2021/22 campaign will now be played at Orlando Stadium on 1 August, the tournament organisers have confirmed.

Carling Black Label also announced the latest line-ups for both sides, with Njabulo Blom dropping out of the Amakhosi XI for Daniel Cardoso, while Deon Hotto replaced Fortune Makaringe in the Orlando Pirates XI.

Khune is dominating the votes, having received 91 494 selections followed by Samir Nurkovic with 84 412 votes.

Even injured duo Billiat (53 071 votes) and Dumsani Zuma (35 594 votes) are in the selection despite being sidelined right now, with Zuma likely to miss the game after Chiefs confirmed he will be out for several months.

On Pirates’ side, Gabadinho Mhango has received the most votes so far, being picked 50 966 times ahead of Richard Ofori with 43 819 votes.
