Maritzburg United have confirmed the contract renewals of five of their players ahead of the 2021/2022 DStv Premiership, including that of one of their highly-sought after forwards.
The club confirmed that Daylon Claasen, Clayton Daniels, Travis Graham, Ryan Rae and Bongokuhle Hlongwane have all extended their stays at the club.
Hlongwane’s future has been the subject of much speculation, with a number of South African clubs linked with the young Bafana Bafana striker over the off season.
Daniels, Graham and Rae all joined Maritzburg last season and played key roles in helping the team escape the relegation battle.
Claasen is considered one of the leaders at the club, and since joining the club two seasons ago has only missed one league game.
“The Team of Choice are pleased that all five players have shown their commitment to the club and we wish them all the best for the season ahead,” the club said on their website.
