Golden Arrows Head Coach Mandla Ncikazi says he is pleased to leave Limpopo with six points, after they beat TTM in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.
It was a second successive victory for Arrows in Limpopo, having beat Black Leopards on the weekend.
The victory sees Arrows climb into second place on the league table, as they continue their impressive form this season.
Ncikazi also paid tribute to Arrows Chairlady Mato Madlala for her efforts in supporting the team, especially with regard to the travel arrangements for their trip to Limpopo.
“We were just grateful as a team to get six points in Limpopo, it’s not easy. But one is just happy that the players could take the load, run in weather conditions like it was in Venda, and again, get the three points yesterday,” Ncikazi told Arrows media.
“We’re just grateful. We are still within the objectives that were planned pre-season, of getting 10 points in a group of five, though it’s lesser, but we are still gracious.”
“But I must also point out that we want to thank our Chairlady, for giving us the support of traveling arrangements. From Durban to Venda, it’s a very difficult trip, but she hired a chartered flight for the team. And I’m sure the result we got in Venda was based on the traveling arrangements and for that we really thank her, she’s always been supportive in our in our venture of trying to support the team.” “
“Going forward, I just wish we can manage the little success, we shouldn’t do what happened previously when we we won the Q2, then the next match against Leopards, mentality was not right. I just hope right now , the next match. Cape Town City, we keep the same mentality, keep the same. We haven’t done anything, we’ve just been doing well, and the players have been marvelous, but I want them to keep the focus that has made them what they are, but we are grateful for getting the six points away from home.”
