While all eyes will be on the MTN8 Final this weekend, the qualifying rounds for the Nedbank Cup will also be kicking off.
Before the DSTV Premiership sides enter in the round of 32, qualifiers will be played around the country to decide on the other 16 places.
8 of those teams will come from the SAB and ABC Motsepe Leagues, and while those leagues will only kick off next year, the regional organisers are hastily scheduling the Nedbank play-offs this month.
The other 8 places will be filled by Glad Africa Championship teams, and those qualifiers will be played this weekend.
Action begins on Friday already when Cape Town All Stars host Royal AM, while Richards Bay will be at home to AmaTuks.
On Saturday Pretoria Callies play Steenberg United, Polokwane City host TS Sporting, Free State Stars welcome Uthongathi, Sekhukhune United host Jomo Cosmos, while Bizana Pondo Chiefs will face Cape Town Spurs.
On Sunday JDR Stars host Cape United.
