Golden Arrows Head Coach Mandla Ncikazi is extremely proud of his players and technical team after winning the Q2 Q-Innovation.
Arrows finished with 16 points in the 7 match block, beating out Mamelodi Sundowns, who had accumulated 15 points.
Ncikazi was proud of the achievement, a first for a team from Kwazulu-Natal.
“Please allow me to take this opportunity to thank our players and technical team members for their great effort in collecting the most points in seven games, winning the second Q-innovation, being the first KZN team to ever win the Q-innovation, and being the joint best in collecting 16 points in seven games,” a proud Ncikazi told Arrows media.
“This is for the first time in the history of the PSL. I’m really proud and honored to be part of this group. Let this be a motivation to try and win the next Q-innovation by collecting 12 points from the Limpopo teams in the next four games.”
“Anything is possible when Arrows are pointing in the same direction. The most challenging part now will be the next matches where the team must maintain consistency and play some matches as favorites, not as underdogs.”
“Our mentality has to be the best, in not judging teams according to the log standings, but respect and adapt to their game plans and impose our strong offensive game after regaining possession. I am optimistic with such a mentality. The sky’s the limit.”
