Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau says the team is ready to fight in their World Cup qualifier against Ghana this evening.
Ghana are currently top of the group after they beat Ethiopia 1-0 at home on Friday, while Bafana drew 1-1 away against Zimbabwe.
Tau, the vice-captain of the team, says they had hoped to win on Friday, but they will take the draw and move on, and hopefully get a good result tonight.
“Look, I think on Friday, like the coach said, we felt like we could get a win, but a draw also still puts us in a in a good position,” Tau said at the press conference.
“We have a difficult game against Ghana. We’ve played them before. So we know each other well and they won, so we looking forward to that game. We just have to be confident and keep getting better.
“Like I say everyone is looking forward to the game. And we know it’s gonna be a different game.
“They’ve won, so they’re in a good mood, for sure. But right now we’re looking forward to the game and we know them better now. But ja, it’s gonna be different. Because they’ve won the game now.
“They’re top of the group, and then we are chasing, but ja, we’ll fight, we’ll fight.”
