Tembo – We Need To Impose Our Game

SuperSport United Coach Kaitano Tembo says they are not too sure what to expect from Chippa United when the two teams meet on Wednesday in the DSTV Premiership.

Tembo says with Dan Malesela taking over the Chippa job he is expecting a different approach from their opponents, but says his team just need to focus on their own game.

Tembo feels that with this being a SuperSport home game, it is important for them to impose themselves.

SuperSport are currently third on the table, six points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, while Chippa are struggling in 14th spot.

“Ja, look I think the preparations have been going very well. We came back about a week ago, on the 26th in fact, so the players didn’t really lose a lot of fitness, physically they were in very good condition,” Tembo told the club’s media department.

“So we just have to prepare mentally for this game because it came at a very difficult time as well. But at the same time I think we are playing against a team that has made changes in their technical team so we don’t really have an idea on how they’re going to approach this game.”

“At the same time it is a home game for us and we really need to go out there and impose our game on them, because we are playing at home and what is important is for us to really focus more on our game because our game is what makes us win.”

“Our game also makes us to play to our full potential, that’s very important. As much as we have an idea of how they might want to play, but what’s key is for us to impose our game from the beginning.”
