Kaizer Chiefs’ Njabulo Blom and Cole Alexander are among seven stars ruled out of DStv Premiership action this weekend.
Blom, 21, has been an ever-present figure under head coach Stuart Baxter missing all but one game this season but has been ruled out through an accumulation of yellow cards.
His teammate Alexander has only missed two games in the heart of the midfield but the tireless midfielder received two yellow cards in their 1-1 draw against AmaZulu on Wednesday and is likely to be replaced by Anthony Akumu or Kearyn Baccus when they face Swallows on Sunday.
Usuthu boss Benni McCarthy who was quite vocal about his disappointment in his team’s performances this season will miss young defender Samkelo Mgwazela against Maritzburg United – who also have a suspension of their own.
Zukile Kewuti, who’s played at left-back and in midfield under Ernest Middendorp will be a huge miss for the Team of Choice who’ve dropped down to 12th after a run of four games without victory.
Cape Town City, who face a renewed TS Galaxy have influential defensive midfielder Thato Mokeke out while Stellies are missing teenage sensation, Devin Titus, for a consecutive game after his red card against AmaZulu last week.
Meanwhile, Stellies opponents this weekend Royal AM – have Given Mashikinya on their list of absentees.
