Baroka Start Life Without Mammila On High Note

A Morgan Mamilla-less Baroka FC picked up their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Hungry Lions, while Mandla Qhogi’s Milford remains top of the table after sharing the spoils with Cape Town Spurs.

Khomotjo Lekoloane’s first half goal was enough for Bakgakga to register their first win of the season, condemning Lions to their first league defeat. 

In the Eastern Cape, newcomers Highbury FC suffered their second successive defeat, going down 1-0 to Orbit College with a late goal from Thulani Jingana.

Table-toppers Milford FC could not extend their lead at the top, playing to a 0-0 stalemate against the Urban Warriors. Both sides remain unbeaten this term. 

Pretoria Callies welcomed their new coach Fabio Lopez five days ago and he was the baptism of fire as The Romans suffered a 1-0 defeat against new kids on the block Kruger United.

On form Lelethu Skelem continued where he left off as Casric Stars narrowly beat Black Leopards 1-0 to make it two wins in a row, with Leopards suffering their first defeat of the season.

Leruma United, who were down to 10 men were beaten 1-0 by Upington City through Tlotlo Leepile’s 75th minute penalty to hand all three points to Bafana Ba Gucci.

JDR Stars returned to winning ways as they narrowly beat University Of Pretoria 1-0. Mate Sfiso Mmolai scored in the 87th minute for Stars.

Duncan Lechesa’s Venda Football Club remain winless this season after a goalless draw against Durban City in Limpopo. This was VFC’s first point of the season after losing the first two matches.
