Cape Town City have confirmed the appointment of Andries Ulderink as their head coach for the 2026/27 campaign.
The Dutch coach had been serving as Director of Football over the past campaign, but will now take over from his countryman Jan Vreman, who has left the club.

City just missed out on promotion back to the Betway Premiership, after a disappointing playoff campaign that saw Milford promoted alongside Motsepe Foundation Championship winners Kruger United.
The former Ajax Cape Town coach was originally supposed to take over the head coach role last season.
But following City’s relegation, the plan was put on the back burner, and Ulderink instead had a short stint as an assistant at Bayer Leverkusen. After leaving Leverkusen, he joined City as Director of Football.
Prior to the Leverkusen stint, he served as interim coach at Belgian club Royal Antwerp, where he had also previously worked as an assistant. He was also an assistant at Rangers in Scotland, and FC Twente.
